The 2009 CCPI Annual Conference took place at the Ormonde Hotel in Kilkenny on Saturday 24th January 2009 with many volunteers, supporters, host families and friends attending. There were very informative updates on the programme work of CCPI delivered in the morning session and Adi Roche delivered the Opening Address. The Afternoon session was opened by the Ukrainian Ambassador, followed by Dr Novick, the internationally-renowned cardiac surgeon who also appeared in the CCPI Oscar-winning documentary 'Chernobyl Heart'. Liz O'Donnell (ex TD and new Board Member of CCPI) and Ali Hewson, Board Member CCPI were also in attendance. It was an excellent event for networking and sharing stories and experiences amongst volunteers, supporters of the charity and friends.
