Krystina & Olya Medical Care Fund
Two very special girls, Krystina and Olya from Vesnova Children's Mental Asylum in Belarus are in Ireland for critical medical care. The girls have just left Cappagh Hospital in Dublin having received expert care from the surgical and nursing staff there last week. Chernobyl Children's Project International would like to say a very special thank you to the team of carers, nurses and physiotherapists who continue to look after the girls. Krystina will unfortunately need further serious surgery in the coming weeks and months. Olya is recovering very well from her surgery and was joking and laughing hours after her operation!
Krystina suffers from Arthrogryphosis, a condition that seriously affects her limbs. She will require an amputation very shortly, which will mean that by the end of this year Krystina will walk with the help of a new prosthetic. CCPI is grateful for all the financial support which we have received to date. However, the costs of Krystina and Olya's medical care and the cost of a new Home of Hope for the girls when they return to Belarus mean that we need yet more funds. All donations to help these girls are welcome. We are appealing to individuals and companies to give what they can. All support will be gratefully received. Please donate today and make Krystina's dream of walking for the first time come through. Call us on
