Tour de Munster 2009 Cycle a great success!
From Thursday 13th August through to Sunday 16th August, over 80 Tour de Munster 2009 cyclists undertook a four-day 600k cycle through all the counties of Munster, covering Cork, Waterford, Tipperary, Limerick, Clare and Kerry. All funds raised will go directly to Chernobyl Children's Project International Child Cardiac Surgery Programme. This hugely successful programme has saved the lives of thousands of children who have been born with congenital heart disease and through the intervention of CCPI and Dr William Novick and his volunteer surgical team have given back life to children who were once deemed inoperable. Thank you to all the cyclists who participated in this event. For more information please visit www.tourdemunster.com
Over 300 cyclists joined the Pfizers Cork to Galway Cycle
The 7th Annual Chernobyl Children's Project International Charity Cycle took place on the 12th and 13th of June 2009. This year, Niall Kennedy and his colleagues in Pfizers and EMC pushed numbers above and beyond the 250 cyclists mark. Many seasoned cyclists have said that of the many cycling events they have taken part in, this has been number one for organisation and provision of facilities and refreshments.
