Tour de Munster 2009 Cycle a great success!
From Thursday 13th August through to Sunday 16th August, over 80 Tour de Munster 2009 cyclists undertook a four-day 600k cycle through all the counties of Munster, covering Cork, Waterford, Tipperary, Limerick, Clare and Kerry. The cyclists were joined over the four days by cycling legend, Sean Kelly and sports commentator Phil Liggitt. Paul Sheridan, Project Manager of the cycle was delighted with the event and already had cyclists signing up for the next year's event.
All funds raised will go directly to Chernobyl Children's Project International Child Cardiac Surgery Programme. This hugely successful programme has saved the lives of thousands of children who have been born with congenital heart disease and through the intervention of CCPI and Dr William Novick and his volunteer surgical team have given back life to children who were once deemed inoperable. Thank you to all the cyclists who participated in this event. For more information please visit www.tourdemunster.com
