What We Do
'Homes of Hope'
Through CCPI's 'Homes of Hope' Programme we are de-institutionalising children and breaking the cycle of poverty and abandonment in Belarus. CCPI is at the forefront of De-institutionalisation policy in Belarus and it is our intention to give children who may have been abandoned into state orphanages or institutions a home of their own. 'Homes of Hope' is the alternative to orphanages and already CCPI has purchased 19 houses. Each Home of Hope houses up to 10 children per home with rigorously State-vetted foster parents. CCPI will give these children a loving home of their own and offer them every chance in life. In April two new homes were officially opened in Belarus; the Mid-Cork sponsored Home of Hope and the Kinsale Home of Hope. Volunteers and committee members from both outreach groups travelled to Belarus to be at the opening.
